We Are Here!

When the Whos in Whoville cried out,
We are here! We are here! We are here!
Their voices collaborated in
Carrying a message to a place they'd never seen
And could not imagine

They didn't truly know where they were
. . . didn't need to know . . .
"Here" described their situation perfectly
All the same

Horton knew where they were
And gallantly did all he could to save them
And share their existence with others

Where am I?
Here
Mind, Body, Thoughts, Feelings . . .
Here am I
Whatever my state of mind
Whatever aches and pains I feel
In my body, or my heart
It’s all part of “here”

I am always here
God is always here
For there is nowhere He is not
Love is always here, for God is Love

I needn’t search elsewhere
For Self
For Love

Needn’t worry about the unknown.
There is One who knows
One who is always here
I am known
I am loved
Always

Every bit of me
Inside and out
Is known by Mystery
Is seen by, and exists in,
Unfathomable Eternity

We are here, We are here!
We vibrate, we sing, we dance
Our voices beguile the heart of Love
Dance steps entrance
Energy flows from and through Eternity

We know and see parts of our "here"
We catch glimpses
Impressions
Of all that is deeper and grander
All that fills the spaces

Sweet mystery
Such wonderful magic!
My Beloved calls
And I answer, "I am here!"
We are here, together.

On the fifteenth of May, in the Jungle of Nool,
In the heat of the day, in the cool of the pool,
He was splashing... enjoying the jungle's great joys...
When Horton the elephant heard a small noise.

"My friends!", cried the elephant.
"Tell me! Do tell!
Are you safe? Are you sound?
Are you whole? Are you well?

"Don't give up! I believe in you all.
A person's a person, no matter how small!

From Dr. Seuss', Horton Hears a Who. (The book, not the movie!)
